Report to:  HR Manager 

Location: Tunisia

Overview of Role:

We are seeking a People Operations & Payroll Specialist to be part of the HR Team reporting to the local HR manager. She/He will lead the monthly payroll processing, she/He will be responsible of the drafting, delivering, and archiving of administrative documents. she/He will also oversee the Employees’ data management in our HRIS. The People Operations & Payroll Specialist will also be the first Point of contact for our Employees in all Payroll and administrative queries.

To be successful in this position, you will need to be detail oriented, as well as experience maintaining Employees records. You will also need to be comfortable working with cross-functional teams and collaborating with senior leaders across Europe and North America.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead on accurate monthly payroll processing.
  • Preparation of payroll-related components: Attendance, Commission.
  • Develop a strong knowledge of the payroll software.
  • Responsible for day-to-day deliverables to your Employees and can apply in-depth knowledge of the files.
  • Prepare and reconcile monthly reporting and processing
  • Keep up-to-date and gather information on any changes and development in tax legislation, social securities or any other changes that may influence the payroll process.
  • Filing and archiving
  • Maintain database of personnel information and accurate payroll records: Collect, verify, and record employee attendance, including hours worked
  • Responds to employee inquiries regarding payroll and/or deductions/benefits; explains regulations, policies, and procedures; resolves problems.
  • Participate in projects to continuously review and improve processes related to payroll.
  • Committed to delivering work in accordance with deadlines.

Qualifications & Skills

  • Bachelors degree in Business Administration, HR, Finance, Accounting or a related field. 
  • Good level in English
  • Experience in developing and executing monthly payroll
  • Strong knowledge of the local labour law, taxes & regulations
  • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple requests and duties simultaneously. 
  • Strong attention to detail and a focus on quality and consistency
  • Problem-solving abilities
  • Organizational skills
  • Time-management expertise
  • Adequate collaborative, emotional intelligence and interpersonal skills to build strong relationships easily with positivity and energy
