We are currently looking for a person for the position

Communication Specialist

Main responsibilities : 

  1. Directs the overall flow of information for a company including human resources, public relations, division offices and corporate headquarters.
  2. Works with staff in virtually every department of the company.
  3. Manages special projects of varying type and size.
  4. Communicates with members of print, radio and television media.
  5. Manages social media communications.
  6. Answers questions from employees and company manages and from media outlets as well.
  7. Prepares and manages the communications department budget.
  8. Manages contracts and relationships with vendors and business partners.
  9. Maintains a calendar of assigned projects and deadlines.
  10. Delivers written and verbal communications by designated deadlines.
  11. Manages the company’s branding.
  12. Educates staff members on communication processes.
  13. Writes and distributes press releases to print, radio and television.
  14. Creates and launches targeted marketing campaigns.
  15. Conducts interviews with members of the media.
  16. Drives message and announcement development and pitch strategies.
  17. Maximizes opportunities for the company to be featured in various types of media messages.
  18. Develops internal company newsletters for employees.
  19. Optimizes company website content for internet search engines

Requirements and skills : 

  1. Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Business, Marketing, English, Journalism or a related discipline.
  2. · Experience working in in a communications role.
  3. · Proficient in Microsoft Office, content management systems, and social media platforms.
  4. Must have exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
  5. Must have excellent computer skills particularly with software applications like Word and PowerPoint.
  6. Knowledge of Associated Press writing style guide.
  7. Must have the ability to effectively prioritize projects and multi-task.
  8. Must be an efficient time manager.
  9. Must be able to function well in a team environment.
  10. Must have strong public speaking skills.
  11. Must be highly detail oriented.
  12. Expert knowledge of the company’s mission statement and product and service offerings.
  13. Must have excellent interpersonal skills.
  14. Must have good problem solving and decision making skills.
  15. Must have exceptional networking skills.
  16. Must be able to establish firm and reliable contacts in various media outlets.
