Binit Nearshore Services is helping European companies setting up nearshore centers in Tunisia. In that context we are advising Blauwtrust Groep starting its own subsdiary in the coming weeks.

Blauwtrust Groep provides high-quality financial services and products to the Dutch mortgage market. The company focuses on consumers as well as brokers and investors. Blauwtrust Groep consists of multiple operating companies – with more than eight hundred employees in total – that operate the entire value chain together, from management and administration to in-house advisory offices.

In January 2022, Blackfin Capital Partners became the majority shareholder of Blauwtrust Groep. Blackfin is a leading European PE investor specializing in financial services. With Blackfin’s support, the newly appointed Blauwtrust management team is looking to build Blauwtrust Groep into a pan-European product and service provider in the mortgage market. That means the company focuses on organic growth, strategic transformations, and M&A.

Blauwtrust Groep sets up group-wide strategy, goals and parameters in order to give guidelines to the subsidiary companies and to serve them with the appropriate support in, amongst other things, IT external software integrations, development, testing, Data integration and management, BI, etc. BTG is also setting up a subsidiary in Tunisia to help the group and the subsidiary companies deliver all the needed projects and services with the right level of investment and efficiency.

In this context, BTG  is looking to hire a Chief Engineering and Data Manager (CEDM) who will be based in Tunis and will have to build a new team there while managing the existing teams in the Netherlands. Following the build-up period, he will have staff in Capelle and in Tunis.

He will also act as a the Tunis IT manager, supervising locally  his direct report teams, but also the local Tunis based IT teams reporting to other group or subsidiary managers and He will report to the Group CIO.

As a Chief Engineering and Data Manager and Head of BTG Tunis IT: 

·  You support your team leaders and Product Owners in their relationship with their internal or even external customers with the sales team, at the specifications phase

·  You animate the architectural/technical discussions with the technical people within your teams and the external experts when needed

·  You validate the project business cases with your teams and explain them to the business/finance controller before presenting them to the relevant boards for validation

·  You follow up the projects progress and the budget consumption regularly

·  You manage the relationship, with the contract management team when needed, with the software suppliers dealing with your teams

·  You manage the relationship with the Infrastructure team for all what is needed by the projects under your responsibility

·  You have the whole responsibility on the local IT recruitment and staff animation even for the teams that are reporting to other managers within the group or subsidiaries.

In addition

·  You are an IT engineer

·  You have at least 15 years of experience in managing IT development projects, software integration, software testing, data management, etc.

·  You are aware of all the recent technologies, notably the Cloud technologies
