Job Summary:

As an Engineer - Value-Added Services (VAS), you will be responsible for the design, implementation, and maintenance of value-added services in a telecommunications network. You will play a crucial role in enhancing the customer experience by delivering innovative and revenue-generating services. This position requires a strong understanding of VAS technologies, service platforms, and a solid background in network engineering.

Responsibilities:

Design and configure value-added services in the telecommunications network, including platforms such as SMS/MMS, Voicemail, Interactive Voice Response (IVR), Mobile Advertising, and Mobile Content Delivery.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to analyze customer requirements, develop service concepts, and implement solutions that meet business objectives.

Perform integration and testing of value-added service platforms, ensuring compatibility and interoperability with existing network elements.

Monitor and analyze service performance and user experience, making recommendations for service optimization and enhancements.

Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to value-added services, ensuring high service availability and quality.

Develop and maintain service documentation, including service descriptions, configuration guides, and operational procedures.

Stay updated with the latest industry trends and technologies related to value-added services, customer engagement, and revenue generation.

Participate in the evaluation and selection of service platforms and vendors, providing technical expertise and recommendations.

Provide technical support and guidance to other teams, including network operations and customer support, to resolve complex service-related issues.

Collaborate with product management and marketing teams to identify new service opportunities, contribute to service roadmap planning, and drive service innovation.

Qualifications: 

(Nokia Experience is a plus)

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Telecommunications, or a related field. A master's degree is a plus.

Strong knowledge of value-added services technologies and platforms, such as SMS/MMS, Voicemail, IVR, Mobile Advertising, and Mobile Content Delivery.

Experience with service delivery platforms, service creation environments, and service orchestration systems.

Proficiency in network design and architecture principles, including service delivery frameworks and protocols.

Hands-on experience with service integration, testing, and troubleshooting, including knowledge of relevant protocols and tools.

Familiarity with network security principles and best practices for value-added services.

Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to identify and resolve complex service-related issues.

Strong communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.

Relevant certifications, such as Nokia SRC, Cisco CCNA, or other related certifications, are highly desirable.

Prior experience in the telecommunications industry or with service providers is a plus."
