Job Description:

CIS International School of Tunis is in search of an enthusiastic and dedicated Mathematics and Physics Teacher to join our esteemed institution. As a teacher specializing in mathematics and physics, you will play a critical role in imparting knowledge, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills to our students.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Curriculum Delivery:

    • Develop and implement engaging lesson plans in mathematics and physics, aligning with international standards and best practices.
    • Create a dynamic and interactive learning environment that fosters students' passion for these subjects.
    • Employ innovative teaching methods and real-world applications to inspire deeper understanding.
  2. Subject Proficiency:

    • In-depth knowledge and expertise in mathematics and physics, enabling you to effectively teach and explain complex concepts.
    • Encourage students to think critically, solve problems, and develop analytical skills.
    • Adapt teaching strategies to cater to diverse learning styles and abilities.
  3. Assessment and Progress Monitoring:

    • Regularly assess student performance and understanding in mathematics and physics to guide their academic growth.
    • Maintain accurate records of student achievements and communicate results to parents and school administrators.
    • Collaborate with colleagues to enhance teaching methods and curriculum.
  4. Classroom Management:

    • Create a well-organized and inspiring classroom environment that supports effective learning in mathematics and physics.
    • Uphold school policies and procedures, ensuring a respectful and disciplined atmosphere.
    • Manage classroom resources and laboratory equipment efficiently.
  5. Professional Development:

    • Stay updated with the latest advancements in mathematics and physics education and teaching techniques.
    • Participate in professional development opportunities and contribute to curriculum enhancement.
    • Serve as a mentor for students, motivating them to excel in these subjects.

Requirements:

  • Master's degree in Mathematics, Physics, or a related field (PHD is a plus).
  • Teaching certification and substantial teaching experience, preferably in an international school setting.
  • Strong knowledge and passion for mathematics and physics, with excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
  • Commitment to fostering a positive and inclusive learning environment.
  • Collaborative and innovative mindset with the ability to inspire and motivate students.
  • Proficiency in English, as it is the primary language used for lessons and communication at our school.
