Bank ABC is reinforcing its Wholesale Banking Department with the recruitment of a Transaction Banking Officer.
1- Principal Responsibilities, Accountabilities
- The job holder will be identifying business opportunities related to Cash Management (CM) products and services matching customer needs and expectations, based on regular review of the customer base conducted with the concerned Relationship Managers (RM).
- Proposing action plans with the assistance of RMs for strategic customers and prospects relying on an excellent knowledge of CM tools and techniques.
- Acquiring new names by hunting and approaching prospects having cash management potential.
- Responding to queries and participating in CM offers drafting. Defining pricing, measures profitability and efficiency of the proposed solutions, and take the lead in the local requests for proposals.
- Promoting cross selling towards Group ABC CM tools and complementary products such as FX, Trade Finance, and Retail through offers to staff of corporate clients…
- Establishing a local marketing action plan : communication actions, campaigns, participation to events…
- Informing, training and assisting Corporate RMs regarding any matter related to cash management.
Strategic watch, marketing and development of product offering:
- Ensuring the strategic watch related to CM : customer expectations, competitors offers, regulatory and legal framework, local technologies evolution.
- Contributing to the enlargement of products offering (payment means, account management, e-banking).
- Collaborating actively with Product Owners, by communicating customer queries and market expectations, in order to improve and develop the bank’s offers.
- Staying updated on progress of CM solutions implementation till successful operating of the product and intervenes, if necessary.
Commercial Action Plans, monitoring and coordination:
- Taking the lead of the CM activity, sales, achievements in terms of TOI and communicating figures as set by the line manager.
- Ensuring quality of service rendered to customers, for CM products through coordination with internal stakeholders, processing centers, legal…
- Maintaining a regular cooperation with the back office, taking part in the meetings and customer calls when needed.
- Ensuring that local actions undertaken are coherent with global CM strategy of ABC group.
- Participating in defining budgets and action plans in the area of Cash management.
- Supporting innovation and initiative mindset towards development of the unit and the WB department.
- Assessing the gap with the budget and defining corrective actions such as launching of challenges involving Cash Management products and services.
2- Job Requirements
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Banking, business Administration or any relevant field, a Master’s degree is a plus.
Technical & Business Competencies:
- Experience within the banking industry.
- Knowledge of Banking Cash Management products and services mainly in the Payment services and the Account Services.
- Knowledge of procedures and internal processes of operation and account management.
- Commercial capabilities with capacity for analyzing customer needs and proposing tailored solutions.
- IT oriented and familiar with usage of Digital platforms.
Experience:
- Mid-level, with 2 to 5 years within a bank or other financial institution.
Personal Attributes:
- Business oriented and familiar with sales (front office).
- Good communication skills (demos to customers and prospects).
- Teamwork spirit (coordination with Coverage and internal stakeholders).
