The HUBER + SUHNER Tunisia company, which is part of an international Swiss corporation, is currently developing its operations in Tunisia. Since the beginning of 2011, we have taken over new competences from Switzerland in many different areas, developing, growing and constantly improving. We are currently looking for.: 

Process Engineer

Main responsibilities: 

  • Planning and setting up production lines – create initial concepts for a production line (all in cable assembly / harness business)
  • Create and implement automation concepts (transition of manual processes to semi-/full automated processes)
  • Support production planning
  • Run continuous improvement projects in order to increase efficiency / reduce costs.
  • Taking over owner-/leadership for process engineering tasks and interface functions
  • Training of operators (workmanship standards, process, technology)
  • Implement reviews/assessments of operators, and production process.
  • Organize process improvement and cost reduction workshops – implement the results out of these workshops.
  • Apply changes according change management rules / guideline.
  • Building of prototypes, provide production with “hands on” support (need to be operational, if required)
  • Strongly support the implementation of H+S Lean production system in the production unit

Requirements and skills: 

  • engineering degree in the field of mechanical engineering, systems engineering, process engineering or equivalent.
  • Industrialization knowledge and experience (min. 3-5 years), preferred in Automotive Industry and harnessing business
  • Experience with small batch as well as high volume production
  • Capable to create/introduce automation (semi and full) concepts to existing production lines and for new products
  • Used to work in international setup/teams – willing to travel and to stay abroad (for up to 2 months)
  • Very good English language skills – good communicator, open mind set.
  • Good organizational skills
  • Basic Change Management knowledge and experience in production environment
  • Lean thinking and acting mindset
  • Computer skills (MS Office, Auto Cad, SAP)
