Role Description

This is a full-time on-site role as a School Nurse at CIS International School of Tunis. The School Nurse will be responsible for ensuring the health and well-being of students and staff, providing basic healthcare services, managing health records, and implementing health-related policies and procedures. The nurse will work closely with students, parents, and staff to ensure a safe and healthy school environment.


Reporting to: School Counselor 


Qualifications 

  • Registered Nurse with a valid nursing license in Tunisia

  • Experience in pediatric or school nursing preferred

  • Strong knowledge of healthcare practices, first aid, and emergency procedures

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with students, parents, and colleagues.

  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information.

  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail

  • Ability to work independently and make sound decisions in emergencies

  • CPR and First Aid certification required

  • Proficiency in English as it is the School language. 



Responsibilities

  • Provide basic healthcare services to students and staff, including administering medication and first aid as needed

  • Maintain accurate health records for students and staff, ensuring compliance with privacy regulations

  • Monitor and manage chronic health conditions and allergies among students

  • Develop and implement health-related policies and procedures in collaboration with the school administration

  • Conduct health screenings and assessments as required

  • Respond to health emergencies and provide crisis intervention when necessary

  • Communicate with parents, guardians, and healthcare providers regarding student health needs

  • Ensure that the school’s health facilities and equipment are properly maintained

  • Participate in school events and activities to promote health and wellness

  • Adhere to all school policies and procedures, contributing to a safe and respectful learning environment

  • Teaching Wellbeing sessions to primary school if needed.
