Role Description

 

This is a full-time on-site role as a Secondary Mathematics Teacher at CIS International School of Tunis. The Mathematics Teacher will be responsible for designing and delivering engaging mathematics lessons, developing lesson plans, and providing mathematics education to lower-secondary students. The teacher will also be expected to communicate effectively with students, parents, and colleagues.

 

Reporting to: Head of School

 

 

Qualifications 

 

  • Excellent knowledge and expertise in Mathematics

  • Experience in lesson planning and designing engaging mathematics lessons

  • Qualified teacher with relevant teaching certification

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with students, parents, and colleagues

  • Passion for mathematics education and a commitment to student success

  • Ability to create a positive and inclusive learning environment

  • Experience in teaching lower-secondary students is preferred

  • Bachelor's/Master's degree in Mathematics, Engineering, or related field

 

 

Responsibilities

 

 

  • Design and implement engaging and effective mathematics lessons aligned with the Cambridge curriculum

  • Develop and update lesson plans, instructional materials, and resources

  • Assess and evaluate student performance, providing constructive feedback and support

  • Maintain accurate records of student progress and achievements

  • Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment that fosters a love for learning

  • Utilize various teaching strategies and technologies to enhance student understanding

  • Communicate regularly with students, parents, and colleagues to support student development

  • Participate in departmental meetings, school events, and professional development opportunities

  • Collaborate with colleagues to develop cross-curricular initiatives and projects

  • Adhere to school policies and procedures, ensuring a safe and respectful learning environment
