Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site role for a Foundation Homeroom Teacher at CIS International School of Tunis. The Foundation Homeroom Teacher will teach young learners across multiple foundational subjects, fostering intellectual, emotional, and social development. The teacher will plan and deliver Phonics, Maths, English, Understanding the World, Art, Outdoor Activities, and Robotics lessons while overseeing students during recess. The role requires a nurturing approach and a commitment to creating an engaging and positive learning environment for early learners.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education, Primary Education, or a related field.

Teaching certification and relevant experience working with young children, preferably in an international school setting.

Strong knowledge and understanding of child development and early years education.

Ability to teach various subjects, including Phonics, Maths, English, Art, and basic Robotics.

Passionate about fostering a positive and inclusive learning environment.

Excellent communication, organizational, and classroom management skills.

Proficiency in English, as it is the primary language of instruction and communication at the school.

Ability to inspire young learners and support their overall growth and development.
Responsibilities

Teach foundational subjects including Phonics, Maths, English, Understanding the World, Art, Outdoor Learning, and Robotics to young learners.

Create engaging and age-appropriate lesson plans that promote curiosity, creativity, and a love for learning.

Foster the holistic development of students by addressing their academic, emotional, and social needs.

Encourage active learning through hands-on activities, play-based learning, and exploration of the world around them.

Supervise and guide students during recess, ensuring a safe and positive playtime environment.

Incorporate the use of technology and innovative teaching strategies in the classroom, including the introduction of basic Robotics.

Create a warm, inclusive, and supportive classroom atmosphere that builds confidence and independence.

Assess student progress through observations, evaluations, and appropriate reporting to parents and school administration.

Communicate effectively with parents, providing regular updates on student progress and development.
